Insightful and easy to understand. One of the main reasons I chose this course was watching Denver explain grading on Youtube. I believe his method is perfect for beginners or even the advanced just sharpening their understand of Color Grading. Look forward to the rest of the course.

Now I have gone through the course the second time, the puzzle has become clearer but because English is not my native language I will have to go through the course again. Still, I want to give Denver an opportunity for his educational way of teaching, Bravo!

I have been editing for about four years and have watched dozens of YouTube videos on color grading without feeling like I had made much progress. Just having completed module one, I feel like I have learned more than everything I have previouly done. The course is building a foundation for me and I am excited to move on to module 2.

Fantastic step by step tutorial! Easy to understand! Everything is broken into sections for quick reference later on! Besides color grading I also learned a lot of cool features within FCPX I didn't know existed! Highly recommend this for all and any wanting to work with film!

This academy has definitely changed my work flow and understanding of what I was doing and why I was doing it! Bye Bye frustrations and hello solutions! I use to spend hours trying to get my videos to appear as they did in my head, all with trial and error. Many hours spent on YouTube University learning a little here and there, but always left the site empty of true know how. After going through this course, I now have the confidence I was looking for as well as the knowledge to bring my videos to life. I'm able to look at an image and know exactly how to fix it and create the looks I desire for my personal projects, as well as for my clients. Speaking of clients, I was also able to raise my prices for the work I produce and attract more clientele than I was able to prior to this course. I would like to thank Denver Riddle and his team for this experience and valuable information. This Module was informative and easy to follow. It was great to learn all about the various ways to color grade footage without it being too much like a science project.

Took the course over 3 weeks and it allowed me to step up my game and understand what I am doing when color grading. On the plus side : - The videos are well made and paced so you learn step by step, without ever feeling overwhelmed or lost. - Having the exercice files is a game changer compared to following free YouTube tutorials as you can replicate the exact same conditions, see if you did something wrong and train yourself to get the look you want. Personal tip : try working the files before seeing the corresponding video ! - You can shoot an email with questions anytime and get an answer within the day (even within the hour). It's a big help ! On the minus side : - On module 4 (creating a look), it would be great to have some "homework read" with a debrief video after, as it is a deep subject and a 5-10min video cannot give it all to you. - Sometime (like 5 times max) when explaining how to get a look, the tutorial is too much about telling you to raise this curve or apply this effect. I would have like to understand more why we are doing those changes so I feel more confident when working on my future project. Overall, I strongly recommend this course for beginners like me. It gives you the reflexes you need to have to speed up your game as a filmaker/colorist and be able to grade a project on your own. Now I know what I'm doing and is on track to learn more while practicing on my own projects, thanks Denver !

Wow, so many wonderful practices and techniques shared in this course! There seems to be almost too many terrific techniques to digest at once, and I love the fact that I'm able to go back to any of the course materials, unlimited amount of time, for creative ideas... just fantastic! One thought too share, is be patient with the courses studied through this program. For me I felt a little overwhelmed and the pace a little quick at times when stepping through the many techniques and that is why it is great to be able to do instant replay :-). Also note that you have plenty of practice clips to work with and that is what makes this course so interactive, the step-by-step practice sessions. I'm very excited to begin working and applying the many techniques shared in this course on my own projects. Thank you, Denver, for putting together such a well structure and balanced color grading course, as well as having such great passion and talent for production and post-production work! Having completed this program, I have the confidence to reach my goal within post-production work and taking my newly honed skills to the next level. Great course!

I really enjoyed that it was very informational but also that we utilised real footage. Didn’t realise that fcpx had that much to offer in terms of colour

Thank you for the great info you input, i have realized some courses have old version of final cut and there are some missing things like HSL Masks Technic missing ETC, also i have seen on another Courses About Keying Masks a Different way that could by helpful sometime they did it by click over the clip then (Controle + V) Also i would like to see: - a Document of the short Cuts that speed up workflow and maybe some Basics to get back to it with the episod source link attached . - Some Creative advance ways of using Final Cut Effects. - Some Extra Color Theory that might boost coloring Creativity - Some extra Resources a book or Documents that Developing Coloriest mind set And Thank again for your helpful courses

I'm really enjoying this course. It's easy to follow and guides you effortlessly thorough some fairly complex topics. The science behind color is fascinating and to see it work so perfectly with design is incredibly rewarding.
